Jamell Maurice Demons (born May 1, 1999), known professionally as YNW Melly, is an American rapper, singer, and songwriter from Gifford, Florida, His well-known for his songs like "Murder on My Mind", "Mixed Personalities" (with Kanye West), "Suicidal", he is part of the YNW (an abbreviation of Young N***** World) hip-hop collective before his Murder.
Born in Gifford Flordia on May 1, 1999, and Raised by a single mother named Jamie Demons-King, one rapper Donte "Tha Gift Taylour claims that he was his Father, Her mother was pregnant to him when she was 14, giving birth to him in ninth grade. They later move into a poorer part of Gifford (the same city he lived in), he joined the Bloods gang at a young age, later when he was 15 he begins posting songs around the platform named SoundCloud.
Demons adopted his name, YNW Melly, The name YNW (is an acronym of "Young N**** World" or "Young New Wave") is a hip-hop collective that included Demons, Anthony "YNW Sakchaser" Williams, Christopher "YNW Juvy" Thomas Jr., and Cortlen "YNW Bortlen" Henry, In late 2017 Demons released his first EP called "Collect Call", which contains features of Well-Known/Famous Artists like Lil B, in 2019 He released his debut album, "Melly vs. Melvin", on November 22, 2019, which features songs like "223's", "Suicidal", and it other songs like "Bang Bang and Adam Sandler", On March 13, 2020, he released the "Suicidal" remix with late rapper Juice WRLD.
On February 12, 2019, Demons was charged with the first-degree murder of his close friends who are YNW associates named Anthony Williams and Christopher Thomas Jr, The Authorities claimed that he plan Cortlen Henry to phase the double-murder of Williams and Thomas Jr, Henry accuses the victims and drove them to the hospital where they later died in their wounds, Demons turned himself after it, and announced on Instagram about his loss of his 2 Close friends thanks to him, he was sent to the Broward County Jail to await trial in 2021 and it's convicted that he can face-life in prison or death-penalty until he becomes test positive to COVID-19 (A.K.A the Coronavirus) on April 2, 2020, in 2017 he's also suspect for murdering a sheriff deputy in Gifford and it's still unknown if it is real or not.
